G'day all, we are pleased to announce that after a bit of discussion GrizzlyWorks has been selected as the exclusive distributor for Contrast Audio speakers! As such we have launched a new name- GrizzlyWorks High Fidelity Audio.
Fully handmade by true enthusiasts in the Ukraine, Contrast follow their own path by using only natural materials (silk, paper, timber) for their carefully designed drive units, as well as completely eschewing traditional crossovers in favour of a single filter capacitor in their 2 way designs, and 2 filter capacitors in the 3 ways. Total in house manufacture means that quality control is never compromised, and the finishing on their products is textbook.
The result? Great looking and unique speakers that exhibit high sensitivity, minimal (ie almost zero) phase shift and unusually wide frequency response. Their standmount models also offer a 16 ohm impedance, making them that most rare of beasts- a small speaker that is suitable for use with a low powered tube amplifier.
